Tuesday 11 January 2005

There were seven people at the regular Tuesday evening CAAB demonstration at NSA Menwith Hill.

Laila and Dave covered the side entrance at Nessfield Gate from 6-7pm before joining the others at the Main Entrance for the last hour.

Using the usual swift procedure, Lindis was warned twice, 'reported with a view to prosecution' and arrested for alleged 'obstruction of the highway' by Pc Bate (MDPA).

She was taken to Harrogate police station, where John Downham (custody officer - NYP) followed the procedure used for the last two weeks and detained her until the demonstration was over. She was again  released without charge.

There were no other arrests.

N.B. A pre-trial review is fixed in front of a District Judge (if available) at Harrogate Magistrates' Court on 19 January 2005 at 2pm. A date should then be fixed for a trial of all these cases (refer to previous CAAB Reports).
